In the area of IT security, our focus is on digital identities and encryption (specifically: digital certificates, TLS/SSL/x.509, PKI management).
We developed the certificate management tool essendi xc and the certificate scanning solution essendi cd specifically for the automatic and simple management of digital certificates. They help to prevent disruptions and operational failures due to expired or incorrectly issued certificates and create transparency. At the same time, they integrate completely into existing, complex infrastructures. They thus contribute to operational security and at the same time relieve the IT security department.
Founded in February 2022 in Altdorf in the canton of Uri, essendi it AG quickly became known as a provider of products and services in the IT security sector with special focus on PKI, certificate management and digital certificates. Further focal points are PKI consulting, IT security consulting and individual software solutions. Our clients include cantons, public administration, banks and medium-sized companies as well as listed corporations. We support them with individual software solutions, in consulting with agile teams and in the area of IT security, thus improving their workflows and business processes.
Our parent company in Germany (founded in 2000) has offices in Schwäbisch Hall and Munich.

Our parent company is based in Germany, but we have customers all over Europe. Founding a subsidiary outside Germany therefore was a logical step. For the choice of location, it was important for us to find ourselves in the same language and to have a jumping-off point into the foreign-speaking Europe.
Uri is the ideal starting point for this because of its key location in Switzerland. Destinations within Switzerland are easily accessible. The new Uri cantonal railway station in Altdorf provides fast connections to southern Switzerland and Italy.
People here are also prepared to go new ways, to be innovative and creative in order to make a difference. These are optimal conditions for putting down roots and growing together.
